Florence Welch is a very talented writer. Each of her lyrics and poetry are so vivid in picture. A very nice touch to her first book is it containing her drawing and photos from early on her in career to present day. At times you can't help but wonder what goes on in a musician's head - what inspires them to write their music. With this book we get that opportunity to see what Welch is feeling and it allows us to take a step back and see her past and present struggles. As a huge fan of Florence + the Machine this book is perfect and has given them a deeper meaning to me.

If you’re a big fan of Florence + the machine you will love this book. The lyrics to all of Florence’s songs are written in the form of poems and the artwork is beautiful.

Interesting book by Florence Welch. Loved that it included hand-written pieces as well as art work. Book is well made and will make an excellent present for my niece. Reading the lyrics without the music and her amazing voice, takes on a new tone to her work. I don't consider it "useless magic" at all but a good insight into the working mind of an artist.
Love this book, has all lyrics to her albums from Lungs to High as Hope, poetry, photographs, notes that she wrote on notebooks and paper and what I think collages of things she likes or attributes to her song lyrics.
