Tell Me NowLiterary Nymphs
Abe Grissom drifted from place to place for two years, after his medical discharge from the Marines. Home for a visit, Abe is running an errand to the grocery store for his matchmaking mom when he notices the hot guy behind the counter. Renewing his acquaintance with Cameron Norwood has Abe thinking maybe it is time to settle down.
Tell Me Now is a fantastic blend of humor and today's social gay issues. The well written plot features military, as well as small town bigots who employ homophobic measures to conceal their own fears and cowardice. The characters are believable. Abe gets caught up in circumstances that resulted in physical, along with mental scars. After his discharge, Abe saw himself as broken, not good for anyone. Nevertheless, he could not resist his instant attraction to Cam.
When Cam, who is openly gay, is attacked by a small gang of losers, Abe accidently outs himself. However, the intelligent people did not seem concerned by this revelation. Abe and Cam are well matched in personality. Both men have honest, straight forward point of views, despite the fact that most of Abe's disclosures are due to a runaway tongue without thinking. The intimate scenes are enticing. Jambrea Jo Jones has created an amazing happy-ever-after short story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
